See me!
(or Sandboxes)
This project documents boxes where sand is stored to be spread out when needed in winter to reduce the slipperiness of the ground. This project is in remembrance and honor of my late mother who suffered from mental illness and at the same time engaged in helping homeless people. To me the sandboxes resemble homeless people. They are everywhere. They are outside all the time. Many look worn. We don't want to see them. We tend to ignore that they exist. In a similar way we tend to not 'see' the many people around us that suffer from mental issues. Thereof the title 'See me!'.
